Born in Lima, Peru.

Began working during the mid 80’s in an audio visual production company for comercials. During this time his passion for the light began to grow. He has been a cinematographer since the late 90’s, having worked on more tan 800 comercials, 17 feature films, short films, videoclips and documentaries. Mario also works as a lighting designer for major theater produccions in Lima.

 

He has completed two cinematography workshops at the EICTV (International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba), and has extensive experience in comercials, films, documentaries and theater, having worked for major national and international brands, alongside with top directors.

 

He is a founding and active member of the DFP (Peruvian Asociation of  Cinematographers).
