Retablo won the Grand Coral Prize for Best First Film at the Havana Film Festival.

Also won the Second Collateral Prize for Best Film granted by the members of the Martin Luther King Center (Martin Luther King Memorial Center Award) and for the Best Film according to the film students of Havana (Award of the Havana University).
